WASHINGTON (7News) — Make sure to peek outside tonight ahead of what is expected to be the peak of the Epsilon Perseid meteor shower.
While it’s not the most active meteor shower, with about 5 meteors per hour, it will be highly visible.

That’s because the moon is in a new moon phase, meaning it’s not visible tonight. This will allow for the meteors to really shine bright.

Additionally, skies are expected to be mainly clear and comfortably in the 70s.
The Epsilon Perseid meteor shower will be active through September 21.
