I mean, his speed.

I mean, I also think that Todd Monken over there, who got to play OC with the guy we know by Zay Flowers- Wow is gonna try to put him in the same situations he put Zay Flowers in.

Looked early into week one, Zay Flowers’ rookie year, screens, quick throws, you know, down the field a little bit later on, but early it was, “How can I get him the ball and get him going?”

Getting him through tunnel screens, getting him on quick slants, shallow crossers, and I think Todd Monken’s gonna do the same thing.

The other week, Trevor, you and I were talking about rookies who could have an impact.

Casey’s name obviously popped up on our fantasy show, which by the way, you can catch on Wednesdays here on the NFL Channel.

But, Denzel, Boston’s another guy- Yeah who we felt like, hey, like, he’s also looked pretty good in the preseason.

I, I think these rookies could really stand out, and not just this game, but the season overall.

Nelson, you and I were talking about in the break just Todd Monken and how much we like sort of the creativity in how he approaches the game.

And I go back to sort of Todd Monken’s time as the OC when he was in Tampa.

Yeah.

How they used Mike Evans, a bigger receiver, that’s when they really started to get him in the slot and being this- Yeah big power slot type of a player.

And Boston did that a little bit when he was in Washington.

Yeah.

I think that we could see Todd Monken sort of use him in that same role.

I think that Casey Concepcion gets most of the targets because you just can’t teach that athleticism and what he could do after the catch.

But I think Boston could be a big factor here too, especially because when you look at Jacksonville’s corners, they got two guys on the outside that are six feet tall, but Jordan Lewis, he’s their nickel guy, he’s shorter.

He’s right around 5’9″, 5’10”, and so I think that potentially could be a matchup advantage for the Browns and Denzel Boston.

I mean, Todd is gonna do exactly what you just said.

He’s going to find a way to recreate the wide receivers that he’s had success with.

Mm-hmm.

And he has two guys that remind him of successful receivers that he’s had prior.

Mm-hmm.

So I do see, you know, Concepcion being similar to Zay Flowers- Yeah and Boston being similar to Mike Evans, and that’s really good complimentary wide receiver play.

Two different body types.

Yeah.

Two different catch radius.

Two different ability after the catch, but that’s gonna keep a defense on their toes.

So Todd Monken, man, he was smart with what he was doing, you know?

For sure.

He made the right reads.

But now you gotta think about guys like Judy and how do they fit.

Right.

Yeah.

Because Judy’s a player himself.

Can he get Judy to make plays the way we know Judy can make plays?

But lo and behold, these two young guys are gonna give him what he wants, ’cause Monken wants to know that he has a good future.

It, the now sounds good, but what’s gonna happen later for Todd Monken?

And he drafted these guys, right?

I mean, like- Oh, yeah Judy, I think is, I, I agree with you, a good player, but, like, he drafted these wide receivers.

So you know he has a plan in mind for how to use them, and I think that we see the early returns on that today.

You know better than most, though, if your quarterback can’t get you the football, there’s gonna be some problems.

And I know that there’s some issues right now, or at least I shouldn’t say issues, questions around what that offense-
