POPULAR online marketplace Vinted has gone down for thousands of users.

Over 5,000 sellers and shoppers have reported being “locked out of accounts” on the secondhand clothing site.

Vinted users have reported problems on the marketplace’s app and website, with Down Detector recording thousands of issues.

Login troubles have seen people “blocked” from their accounts, “locked out”, and believing they were “banned”.

On its mobile app, Vinted is showing a full-screen alert, with users met with a statement that makes them unable to use the app.

It tells users: “Vinted is temporarily down.

“We’re currently facing some technical issues and are working hard to get everything back online.

“This may delay some of the activities you’re running on the platform, but they will resume once the system is back up.

“We’re sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks for your patience.”

On its website, Vinted tells users that there is a “Server Error.”

It continues to read: “We’re experiencing some technical issues, but our team is working on it.

“Try reloading the page, or check back later.”

When problems arose earlier today, users hurried to X to share their concerns about the issue, with one writing “anyone else been logged out of their vinted and can’t get back in??”

Another said: “Same here I thought I got banned” and “I thought I had been blocked.”

To combat the issues, a number of users have suggested solutions, with one saying “delete the app, reinstall and it should work.”

Vinted has over 105million users worldwide, with around 17million actively using the secondhand marketplace in the UK.
