We’re Living for Sarah Jane Nader and Hailey Bills’ ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Flirting

As with any celebrity competition show, I can’t help but do a deep dive on the contestants (read: stalking their socials). While there are 16 whole celebrities competing on season 35 of Dancing With The Stars, there’s only one pair that I’m truly invested in and giddily anticipating: bisexual reality star and model Sarah Jane Nader and her first-time pro partner Hailey Bills.

The male contestants are slated to perform tonight during the two-part season premiere on ABC, while the female contestants will perform tomorrow, September 16. This unfortunately means America will have to wait a grueling additional 24 hours to witness Nader and Bills’ onstage chemistry. Lucky for us, the pair has been posting glimpses of what we can expect on social media.

Nader and Bills are only the third same-sex couple (and the second all-female pairing) to appear in the show’s 35-season run. In 2021, Jojo Siwa and Jenna Johnson were announced as the first same sex duo followed by Shangela and Gleb Savchenko in 2022. It’s been a long four years since we’ve had the pleasure of a same-sex pair gracing our screens, but Nader and Bills are here to fill that void.

Despite the fact that they have yet to officially debut together live on DWTS, both Nader and Bills have shared a number of photos and videos over the last couple of weeks to their respective Instagram and TikTok accounts from rehearsals, showcasing the undeniable chemistry the pair is bound to have on stage. Be still my sapphic heart.

On Thursday, September 10, Bills shared a video to her Instagram of her and Nader on the floor of a rehearsal space, both donning sweats and sneakers, legs wrapped around each other and mouthing the words to a hilarious audio about oversharing with a caption that read, “When you officially met 2 weeks ago and know everything ab[out] each other.” Major heart eyes.

In a later video, the pair can be seen holding hands, strutting in sync to Waka Flocka Flame’s “No Hands” in opposite monochrome black and white outfits. They end up in a similar position with Nader hooking her leg over Bills’ on a staircase while sharing their “team name” as “Estrogenz,” a portmanteau of “estrogen” and “Gen Z.”

Nader’s TikTok account also houses a video on the DWTS stage on September 13 with Bills and fellow queer contestant, Olympic gold-medalist Amber Glenn. Flooded with purple lights, the trio can be seen dancing and lip syncing dramatically to the tune of, “The Room Where It Happens” from Hamilton.

The Love Thy Nader star posted a video of her and Bills giggling their way through an attempt at “The Cup Song,” on September 14, complete with matching black work out tanks, a camera fall-fail, and a bendy dance break from Bills.

Things got a little spicier in photos from a carousel on Nader’s Instagram account which features not one, but two photos of Bills wrapping her hand around Nader’s waist and hips, respectively.

Whether its clasped hands, saucy leg holds (like in the promotional imagery for the show), or dramatic waist grabs, Nader and Bills are sure to be a smash hit on Dancing With The Stars, and you best bet we’ll be rooting for (hopefully) the first same-sex winners. I’ve got my fingers crossed.
